Ohio Congressman Recieves Award from Ohio Delegation

Ohio Congressman Steven LaTourette (R) found himself in hot water last year when he questioned whether Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood was on drugs, and quipped, “What job is going to be created by having a bike lane?” (Here’s your answer.)

Things have changed. Thanks to the help of Lois Moss and other bicycle advocates, LaTourette became the first republican congressman to sponsor the Complete Streets Act.

Today Lois Moss from Walk+Roll and Jeff Stephens of Consider Biking awarded Congressman LaTourette a League of American Bicyclists award in appreciation for his work in sponsoring the Complete Streets Act.
